How to Remove Autorun.inf Virus Only Using Winrar

This case happened to a friend, when a newly purchased laptop had been infected with the virus autorun.inf. The virus is destroying almost all the drives on your hard disk, in some cases, when the drive is infected autorun.inf virus, you will not be able to access the drive completely. You have to browse the drive by pressing Ctrl + E keys from the keyboard.

In this post I'll show you a method to remove autorun.inf virus manually just use winrar application, no antivirus or malware programs.

Solution to remove autorun.inf virus just by using Winrar.

Step 1: First Disable CD / DVD or USB Autorun in Windows

Step 2: open the Winrar program (Start-> All Programs-WinRAR.exe>winrar ->)

Step 3: Now Browse for every drive that is infected with the virus autorun.inf using explorer winrar.
Step 4: Here you will see all hidden files under winrar to drive you select

Step 5: Look for an autorun.inf file and open it using notepad.

Step 6: On Autorun file, there are several berextensi EXE file. berextensi exe file is the main cause of virus formed.

Step 7: Record the file berextensi. Exe listed in the autorun.inf file.

Step 8: Now look at the file berextensi. Exe is located in the drive (eg c: /), Delete autorun.inf file along with its

Step 9: Restart your Operating System. Now your system is free from Virus Autorun.inf.

Note: Repeat the same process if the USB drive or other infected autorun.inf virus.
